FAQs

WAG Bully Disc is a round, disc-shaped beef chew made from 99% beef bladder. Approximately 80mm in diameter, it's a fun alternative to traditional bully sticks — same beefy satisfaction, just in a new format that keeps dogs engaged for longer. It's high in protein, low in fat, and fully digestible.

Great question! Traditional bully sticks are made from beef pizzle, while our Bully Discs are made from beef bladder, giving them a slightly lighter and more pliable texture. The big difference is the shape — the round disc format encourages dogs to hold and reposition their chew, making it more interactive and mentally stimulating than a straight stick. Both are high in protein, fully digestible, and great for dental health.

Yes. WAG Bully Discs are fully digestible and won't splinter, making them a much safer alternative to rawhide or cooked bones. As with any chew, we recommend supervising your dog while they enjoy their Bully Disc, and removing any small remaining piece once it becomes small enough to swallow whole.

Yes! Chewing on a Bully Disc helps stimulate jaw muscles and promotes a scraping action on the teeth that removes plaque and tartar buildup. Regular chewing can support healthier gums and fresher breath. While Bully Discs aren't a substitute for professional dental care or tooth brushing, many paw parents use them as part of their dog's dental routine. You can read more about the benefits of bully-style chews in our Bully Sticks guide.

Bully Discs are suitable for dogs 6 months and older who have developed their adult teeth. For younger puppies still in the teething stage, we'd recommend a softer chew option. Always supervise puppies with any chew, start with shorter chew sessions, and ensure the disc size is appropriate for your puppy's mouth.

Absolutely. The Bully Disc's chewy texture (rather than ultra-hard density) makes it suitable for small breeds as well as large dogs. For very small dogs, we still recommend supervising closely to ensure they can manage the disc comfortably and chew safely.

This really depends on your dog's size, chewing style, and enthusiasm! The disc format is designed to be durable and long-lasting, providing more chewing engagement than soft treats. We recommend a maximum chew time of around 30 minutes per session.

Treats should always make up no more than 10% of your dog's total daily caloric intake. Bully Discs are a chew treat, not a meal — they work best as an occasional reward or enrichment activity. Many paw parents offer them a few times per week, particularly to help with boredom, separation anxiety, or post-walk wind-down.

Beef-based chews can have a naturally meaty aroma — that's part of the appeal for your dog! WAG Bully Discs are not artificially flavoured, so the smell is natural beef. The scent is typically milder than pizzle-based bully sticks.

Yes. WAG Bully Discs contain no rawhide whatsoever. Rawhide can be difficult to digest and may cause blockages. Our Bully Discs are made from beef bladder, which is fully digestible and breaks down safely in your dog's digestive system.

Chewing is a naturally calming activity for dogs — the repetitive motion triggers the release of endorphins, helping reduce anxiety and stress. The disc's interactive format extends chew time, giving anxious dogs more sustained mental engagement.
